Access learning my way at CrE8ive Place
How and When?
Could this be the right option for me? This may appear a little complicated. It's not. It's more like booking a course or a concert.
We will need applicants to apply early as places are released in stages. This is simply because we expect demand to outstrip supply!
Immerse yourself in the creative process in the right environment with like-minded people? For how long?
There are three priority windows of application.
1st window of application is A:
for longer stays of a month or more - priority booking at lowest cost. Register in March. Offers - end of March
People applying for longer stays can apply for the bursary scheme to reduce costs or apply for sponsors.
2nd Window is B: - priority to medium-term bookings of one week to one month.
Register interest in early April. Offers - third week of April.
Please remember that by giving us date options this helps us to fit you in and you are more likely to receive an offer!
3rd window is C. Register interest at any time. Please give a range of more than one date.
Provisional offers are made anytime. However, firm offers for one to six days are made in late April onwards.

What field/s and skills?
Just name the areas of learning you wish to focus on and whether you are currently involved in a project. There is no limit to the areas of learning from songwriting and playwriting to comedy, from music to fine art to technology and design. Polymaths welcome too!
It is the process, the workspaces and the culture that matter most. Try to be clear about the skills you wish work on whilst you are here and list these if you can.
You may have a clear plan of what you want over time or not. That’s fine. Write a letter about what you aim to get out of the experience and what is important to you in terms of learning, materials and spaces required to do your thinking and your work. And let us know the kind of recreational things you are into or would like to try. That’s it! Nothing required for stays less than a week or less – just book it as a B&B stay.
Indicative Costs? These are outside the high season months of July and August.
A or B (medium to long term bookings) £495pm single occupancy room, £295pm or £75pw shared occupancy
C (short term bookings one to six days) £40pn in sole occupancy £25 per night in shared occupancy
Prices are unlikely to be lower, but we will try to keep costs as low as possible.
For stays of a month or longer
References will be required with background checks in line with other property rental requirements e.g. Univ, lodgings.
The Bursary System
This effectively works as a reciprocal rental subsidy and is refunded after three, six, and twelve month periods i.e. longer term placements only. They are approved by the presentation of creative works achieved over the time here to the CrE8ive Place Board. It could be folder, pieces of art, dances, performance of words or music, compositions, designs etc. and a demonstration of skills progression over time.
Explain how you have worked on those skills and how you have applied these creatively. That’s it!
If you wish to apply for the bursary check it out with us beforehand and then apply. Refund bursaries are paid directly to your account or discounted off the next three-month rental. We award between 15% to 30% bursary rewards every three months. Please note that supporting basic building maintenance jobs could also mean additional discounts on rental or training costs. Again, this has to be clearly agreed in writing by us beforehand.
